During your lifetime, you may have collected artwork, important collectibles, antiques, jewerly, or even vehicles. A gift of these important items of personal property to the Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis can put your mind at ease on how best to dispose of them.
During your lifetime, you may make an outright gift of any items of personal property to fulfill a pledge or make a special gift. Such a gift should net an income tax deduction. However, the rules are varied and complicated for gifts of personal property - especially for artwork and vehicles. Be sure to visit with your accountant or attorney to plan your gift.
You may choose, instead, to continue enjoying your special treasures and make a bequest to Cancer Support Community through your estate. Again, the taxation rules vary by the type of gift. The attorney assisting with your bequest will be able to assist you.
Because we have recently changed our name and because we are affiliated with a national organization, we ask donors and their professional advisors to be certain to include our full legal name in their estate documents. This is information to include:
Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis
1058 Old Des Peres Road
St. Louis, MO 63131
