The Cancer Survivorship Walk clearly represents the mission of Cancer Support Community. We are about people. We are about community. We are about friendship. We are about hope. All proceeds raised from this community celebration event, benefit Cancer Support Community. Families, friends, neighbors and co-workers as well as individuals, who attend our free of charge programs, gather on this special day to celebrate survivorship and remember those who have passed away from cancer.   Walkers choose a 1 or 3 mile route through beautiful Creve Coeur Park with rest stops available along the course. Other event festivities include the Inspiration Pavilion, which offers an opportunity for walkers to post photos of their loved ones, or share inspiring stories about a family member, friend or co-worker; the walk concludes with post-walk refreshments. Every year Cancer Support Community elects an Honorary Team Ambassador, an individual who has benefited greatly from our programs. This individual is our official Walk spokesperson encouraging individuals, companies and organizations to join them in forming their own team and raising money in support of their fellow program participants. In 2011, our exceptional walkers raised almost $140k!

Celebration of Hope--A Fête Accompli is Cancer Support Community’s signature fundraising gala. This event has grown to become a premier fundraising event in St. Louis, and has raised more than $2 million for Cancer Support Community.   Since 2003, Celebration of Hope has hosted the Marsha Wolff & Tina Borchert Inspiration Awards. Named in honor of the founders of Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis, these awards recognize individuals, companies, foundations and organizations in our community who have made a profound difference in the lives of people living with cancer.  Thank you to our Celebration of Hope 2011 Sponsors and everyone who helped make the 2011 Celebration of Hope Gala a great success!
