Networking Groups

Networking Groups are drop in with no reservations required unless noted in the calendar and all groups are led by a licensed therapist. Family and caregivers are welcome to attend all meetings.

Ann Arenberg Pancreatic Cancer Monthly Networking Group

2nd Tuesday evening of each month, 6:30 - 8:00pm

A monthly networking group for people affected by pancreatic cancer and their family and loved ones.

Julie Noel, LDRD, joins facilitator Jeff Piper, LCSW, each month to answer questions regarding nutrition and the pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

This group offered through generous contributions from the Arenberg Family and the Grandpa Schwartz Pancreatic Cancer Fund.

Brain Tumor Monthly Networking Group

3rd Thursdays monthly 6:30-8:30 pm

A monthly networking group for patients, family members and loved ones affected by brain cancer.

Facilitated by John Eschen, LPC, M.Ed.

Breast Cancer Monthly Networking Group

2nd Wednesdays monthly 6:30-8:00 PM

A monthly networking group for women newly diagnosed as well as those who are post treatment and Return To Wellness graduates.

Facilitated by Kathy Bearman, LCSW.

Cancer Transitions Networking Group

2nd and 4th Thursdays monthly 6:30-8:00 pm

When treatment ends, many cancer survivors are surprised to find that they don’t feel what they expected to feel, and that family and friends may not be on the same page as the survivor. This group provides cancer survivors the opportunity to discuss the transition from active treatment to a post-treatment life.

A Group Preparation Meeting prior to attendance is strongly recommended but not required—call 314-238-2000 to schedule.

Please note the the September 9th meeting of the Cancer Transitions Networking Group will be cancelled.

Colorectal/Gastrointestinal/Bladder Cancers Monthly Networking Group

2nd Mondays monthly 6:30-8:00 pm

A monthly networking group for patients, family members and loved ones affected by colorectal, esophageal, gastric (stomach), liver, gallbladder, GIST, and bladder cancers. Facilitated by Kathy Bearman, LCSW.

Couples and Cancer Monthly Networking Group

1st Thursdays monthly 6:30-8:00 pm

The Couples and Cancer Monthly Networking Group is a professionally-led monthly networking group offered at no charge for couples who are dealing with the impact of a cancer diagnosis on their lives and relationships.

Facilitated by John Eschen, LPC, M.Ed.

Please take advantage of this new unique offering by The Wellness Community as no other group of this kind is available in the Greater St. Louis area!

Gynecological Cancer Monthly Networking Group

3rd Mondays monthly 6:30-8:30 pm

A monthly networking group for women affected by gynecological cancer.

HER2 Positive Breast Cancer "Sisterhood" Dinner & Support Group-RSVP

4th Thursday every month 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Women with the common link of HER2-positive breast cancer meet to discuss symptoms, treatments and living with the disease as well as accomplishments and personal achievements.

Metastatic Cancers Bi-Weekly Networking Group

1st and Third Wednesdays of each month, 10:00 – 11:30 AM

Where: SITEMAN CANCER CENTER WEST COUNTY / BLDG TWO / 2ND FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM

This support group is being offered to patients in collaboration with Siteman Cancer Center for those who have been diagnosed with metastatic cancer. There are many issues unique to those whose cancer experience is now one of living with and managing a chronic disease. Come meet others living in this experience and share common concerns, support and information.
